We are proud to announce that the national research data repository DataverseLV has officially acquired the CoreTrustSeal certification. This significant achievement internationally affirms that DataverseLV is a trustworthy and secure repository for the long-term preservation of research data.
CoreTrustSeal is an international standard awarded to digital repositories that demonstrate compliance with stringent organizational, data management, and technological requirements. This certification validates the repository’s ability to ensure stable and high-quality preservation of research data in accordance with Open Science and FAIR principles.
What does this certificate mean for researchers and our partners?
- The certification confirms that the DataverseLV repository has a clearly defined mission, transparent governance, as well as sustainable funding and resources.
- Dedicated data steward support is provided for secure depositing and quality control. Every dataset is verified against international data management best practices, significantly enhancing the long-term preservation quality of datasets and their reusability within the international scientific community.
- The repository is maintained on a reliable, secure, and sustainable national-level IT infrastructure in collaboration with the Latvia State Radio and Television Centre (LVRTC). This guarantees the highest security standards, long-term data integrity, and minimizes the risk of data loss.
