Funder requirements DPP

Pearch funders quite often request to complete a data management plan. Before starting a project, it is important for researchers to find out what and Funded byu requirements for DPP.

Latvian Science Council

To promote the principles of open science in practice, the Latvian Science Council (LAS) requires the development and maintenance of DPPs for self-funded projects, such as Fundamental and Applied Research Projects (FLPP) and National Research Programmes (NRP).
LZP recommends using Argos platform for the development and maintenance of the DPP, but other platforms may be used by the project promoter. The DPP must be submitted to the LFA within 3 months of the start of the project.
To make it easier to complete the DPP on the platform Argos, the Latvian Data Curators Network has created a tutorial explaining step by step the fields to be filled in the LHMP template.

“Horizon Europe (Horizon Europe)

The European Union's research and innovation programme Horizon Europe (Horizon Europe) requires all projects generating or using research data to develop and maintain a DPP, respecting the principles of open science and FAIR.
A DPP must be established at the start of the project and a plan must be submitted to Horizon Europe within 6 months of the start of the project. It is recommended that the DPP is updated throughout the project to reflect any changes in data management.
An overview on completing the Horizon Europe MIP is available at OpenAIRE website.
