On October 30, the Higher Education and Science IT Shared Services Center (VPC) organised an online seminar on the research data repository DataverseLV – a secure and reliable environment for long-term data preservation, sharing and open access.
The informative part of the event explained the importance of DataverseLV in the Latvian and international science ecosystem, while the practical part demonstrated the depositing of datasets and the functionality of the repository.
DataverseLV is available to all researchers in Latvia, and data depositing is supported by the Latvian Data Stewards Network.
The seminar was attended by more than 150 interested parties – researchers, doctoral students, students, representatives of scientific institutions and libraries, as well as other supporters of open science. Participants actively participated in the discussions, asking questions about the data deposit process, the repository’s compliance with the FAIR principles and other issues related to the repository.
