The Higher Education and Science IT Shared Services Center (VPC), which ensures the maintenance and development of the DataverseLV repository, has committed to adhering to the TRUST principles, which form the basis for reliable and sustainable management of digital repositories.
VPC is included in the official list of organisations that have publicly committed to adhering to the TRUST principles of the Research Data Alliance (RDA). This list is available on the RDA website.
The TRUST (Transparency, Responsibility, User focus, Sustainability, Technology) principles were developed within the RDA community and published in the journal Scientific Data (Nature). They offer a structured framework for managing digital data, ensuring their transparency, accessibility, sustainability and technical reliability in the long term.
These principles are widely recognised and implemented in organizations operating in the field of research data preservation and management.
In addition, VPC has launched an application for participation in the FIDELIS project, which aims to create reliable and FAIR-compliant data services in the European Research Area. Participation in this initiative will further strengthen DataverseLV's role as a high-quality and reliable repository in both the Latvian and international science ecosystems.
