  • Latvian Open Science Strategy 2021-2027: This strategic document sets out Latvia's commitment to open science principles and practices. The strategy is based on three pillars: open access to scientific publications, fair (FAIR) research data and citizen or amateur science
  • Institutional policies for open science: More and more universities and research institutions are actively engaging in the development of open science by developing open science policies at institutional level and putting in place appropriate infrastructure
  • DataverseLV repository: The DataverseLV research data repository has been set up in Latvia to serve as a central hub for sharing and long-term preservation of research data. The repository aims to promote an open data culture and data re-use
  • Development of the Latvian data curator network: Latvia has a growing network of data curators, providing researchers with the support they need to implement data management and open science principles
These achievements demonstrate Latvia's commitment to building a strong open science ecosystem that will enable our researchers to actively engage in the global scientific community to foster new discoveries, innovation and knowledge creation.
