{"id":3526,"date":"2025-07-17T12:26:58","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T10:26:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dataverse.lv\/latvijas-datu-kuratores-erasmus-mobilitate-slovenija-gust-ieskatu-starptautiska-datu-parvaldibas-prakse\/"},"modified":"2026-01-27T08:43:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T06:43:06","slug":"latvijas-datu-kuratores-erasmus-mobilitate-slovenija-gust-ieskatu-starptautiska-datu-parvaldibas-prakse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dataverse.lv\/en\/latvijas-datu-kuratores-erasmus-mobilitate-slovenija-gust-ieskatu-starptautiska-datu-parvaldibas-prakse\/","title":{"rendered":"Latvian Data stewards gain insight into international data management practices during Erasmus+ mobility in Slovenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 fusion-flex-container nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"max-width:1248px;margin-left: calc(-4% \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-4% \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">From 5 to 8 May 2025, representatives of the Latvian Data Stewards Network, L\u012bna L\u0101\u017ee and Viola Daniela Kise\u013cova, participated in an Erasmus+ staff experience mobility at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, where they gained significant insight into research data management and the promotion of the open science movement. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">During\u00a0the\u00a0visit,\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ibmi.mf.uni-lj.si\/en\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Institute\u00a0of\u00a0Biostatistics\u00a0and\u00a0Medical\u00a0Informatics<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> (IBMI), which operates both as a structural unit of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana and as a national ELIXIR- I node, which is part of the European Life Sciences Infrastructure for Biological Information (ELIXIR) consortium, was visited.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Special attention was paid to the <a href=\"https:\/\/projekt-spoznaj.si\/en\/predstavitev-projekta\/\">SPOZNAJ<\/a> project, which creates a professional support network for the implementation of open science at Slovenian universities. Meetings with project representatives and data stewards from the University of Ljubljana allowed for an exchange of experiences, examples of good practice and discussions on future cooperation. Colleagues from the University of Ljubljana were interested in the experience of the Latvian data stewards network in research data management, especially highlighting the DataverseLV repository.<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Within the framework of the mobility, the data stewards gave a presentation \u201cData Curators at the Intersection of IT, Research, and Data \u2013 Latvian Experience of Building the Research Ecosystem\u201d, as well as gave a lecture and led a practical lesson for medical students from the University of Ljubljana on the basics of research data management. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Such experience contributes to gaining new perspectives and opportunities for further cooperation with foreign partners.
